Trail Map:
There are 10 miles of multi–use trails on the Maytag Mountain Ranch property which can be used for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The trail system connects the various neighborhoods of the ranch and is accessible from every homestead. In addition, the Ranch trail system connects to the adjacent San Isabel National Forest and Rainbow Trail offering miles of trails, mountain lakes, wildlife and remote camping. View the map.
Running Cub – 1.2 miles
A partially wooded trail skimming the meadows.
Shugart Trail – 4 miles
The longest trail on the Ranch, it reaches the highest elevations and covers the most challenging terrain of the trail system.
Trail of Seven Sisters – 1.2 miles
The trail offers a short cut from Shugart back to Ranch Central via Running Bear Road.
Diamond Spear Trail – 1.4 miles
An easy trail through pasture and hay fields. Link this trail with Shugart and Lake Creek Trails for a full ranch tour.
Mow Trail – 1.1 miles
Trail is an easy open pasture trail.
Red Hawk Trail – 0.2 miles
Connects to and from Ranch Central.
Quaky Short Cut – 0.2 miles
Trail connects Cowboy Way Road and Branding Iron Road to Lake Creek Lane.
Lake Creek Trail – 1.0 Miles
Trail meanders along Lake Creek. It consists of low–level trail and rugged.
Comes a Horseman Trail &dash 1.6 miles
Trail for great views; climbing to ridge overlooking the vast ranch land. Offers great views of the Sangre de Christo Mountains to the west and Wet Mountains to the east.
