Cañon City and the Royal Gorge

Cañon City, located within an hour drive of the Ranch, is home to the world famous Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. The Royal Gorge is considered a world wonder and is often referred to as the Grand Canyon of the Arkansas River. The bridge is an amazing 1,053 feet above the rushing Arkansas River. The Gorge can be experienced by railway to the bottom of the incredible canyon, by aerial tram, by train through the spectacular scenery or by rafting the white-water challenge of the Arkansas as it roars through the gorge.
