Ranch Grown Foods
How many kids will ever know the experience of collecting fresh eggs from the nest and gathering fresh vegetables and fruits from the garden? Ranch land owners have access to ranch grown foods including eggs, produce and beef as available. What's more, each owner receives one quarter (approximately 110 pounds) of grass–finished beef each year.
In the permaculture garden, you can pick grapes, apples, cherries, and native berries. Enjoy fresh lettuce, carrots, squash, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and all sorts of herbs. The Ranch's free–range chickens control insects and provide fresh eggs.
There are an approximately 350 Red Angus cattle and calves on the Ranch. Healthy grass-finished beef is produced right here, and we've become a model for sustainable ranching practices.
Our cattle are hormone and antibiotic free and is never fed grain. The cattle are grazed using the rotational method, grazing intensively in one spot, then moving on–better for the land. The beef is high in healthy Omega 3 fatty acids and low in the "bad" Omega 6 fatty acids. This tender, tasty beef is marketed directly to the customer, and the proceeds help offset the operational costs of the Ranch. Visit the grass–finished beef pages for more information.
