The Maytag Ranch in Southern Colorado sits in a valley surrounded by the splendid Sangre de Cristo mountain peaks. It's an eco-ranch where all the animals are grass-fed, and for the past 15 years no pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers have been used for any purpose. Vegetables are organically grown.

The Maytag family is beginning to share its idyllic life with others--selling 100 acre lots at the ranch. The newcomers build their dream homes then choose how much, or little, ranching work they'll do. But even if the residents never touch a horse or garden spade, everyone eats the pure food. Buyers are typically high-powered executives from places like New York and California.
